© comité des fêtes de TreignesThis is a centuries-old tradition, which is brought to life in the valley of the Viroin during the time of Carnival. From Sunday to Tuesday, the villagers prepare the pyre for the Mardi Gras Man while money is raised for the giant omelette which will be prepared. Eggs, butter, bacon as well as fuel to cook with and other small contributions are collected in order to make a traditional and collective meal, which will be divided among the crowds.
