ROMAN CHURCH OF SAINT-MARTIN DE TOHOGNE

The Saint-Martin parish church has all the essential characteristics of its architectural style: the 3 naves are between a lower choir on the east side and a higher tower on the west side. It is the biggest 11th century Roman church of Luxemburg. The lower parts of the tower are part of the primitive construction, as well as the set-up of the three main naves. The choir dates back from1682 and was built where the old Roman choir was located. Interesting: the 14th century baptismal fonts, the cross (Meuse school, 14th century), the Louis XIV-style preaching pulpit, a polychrome medieval "Saint Martin charity" and large 16th and 17th century mural paintings.

The church is not open during religious services.
