The best time to visit and the weather
In Belgium, each season has its own festivities and unmissable events. Winter or summer? When is the best time to come?
The best times to travel
Throughout the summer and up until the end of October, Wallonia and Brussels organise a series of festivals, carnivals and festvities in the sunshine. It's the perfect time to visit the capital city and the numerous Walloon towns whilst enjoying the good weather.
In December, the famous Christmas markets grace Wallonia and Brussels with their presence. The mulled wine, hand-crafted produce and ice-skating are just some of the many reasons why it's worth visiting one. Not forgetting that Wallonia and Brussels also have many activities and discoveries on offer indoors. The Belgian Ardennes are also a perfect spot for skiing and magnificent walks in the snow.
Belgium has a temperate climate, which means mild temperatures in the Summer and snow in the Winter. As such, visitors can therefore bring sun cream and light clothes for a summer trip and gloves, a scarf and a hat for a winter trip. As the Belgian climate is also humid throughout the year, be prepared and bring an umbrella or a raincoat whatever the season may be, just to be on the safe side.
